While Sacramento Kings star Domantas Sabonis is regarded as one of the best big men in the NBA, one journalist might have thought too highly of the Lithuanian-American big man.

After the league released the full list of voter ballots for this season's major awards, compiled by a global panel of 99 sportswriters and broadcasters, one journalist's slate stood out.

Spanish journalist Ignacio Garcia of Marca voted for Sabonis as a member of the All-NBA First Team, NBA All-Defensive First Team, third in Defensive Player of the Year, and fourth in MVP voting.

Marca, the Spanish outlet with which Garcia is affiliated, primarily produces soccer content.

Other puzzling votes from Garcia included New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado and Miami Heat wing Jaime Jaquez Jr. as second and third placers for the Sixth Man of the Year, as well as Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis Jr. for the All-Defensive Second Team.
