The team's path to an NBA finals return might be easier if initial fears about Tyrese Haliburton's injury are confirmed.

They ended the Cleveland Cavaliers' championship hopes in five games, and it helped that the Cavs did not have Donovan Mitchell in the last two games.
The Pacers might be staring at the same situation right now after Game 2.
Haliburton missed almost the whole second half of their Game 2 against the East's no. 1 seed after stepping on a teammate's foot in the third quarter.
The Pacers lost tremendously, 110-126, but they can salvage their season in a crucial Game 3 back at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
However, coach Rick Carlisle and the rest of the team may not have Haliburton on their side after it was confirmed that he injured the same hamstring that kept him out for multiple games.
Haliburton's injury might keep him out longer
Carlisle said there was still no word about the extent of Haliburton's injury.
"It's sore," Carlisle said of his player's latest setback.
"We'll know more tomorrow and then probably even more Saturday."
If worse comes to worst, and because the same injury made him miss a significant number of games, there is a chance that he will not see the playoffs again.
Haliburton missed ten games this season due to the same hamstring injury.
If it is only a low-grade hamstring, he will need several days to 1-2 weeks to fully heal.
