Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese released a resounding message that may allude to her college rival, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark.
The 22-year-old played in a capacity crowd at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn as the Sky secured a 90-81 win over the New York Liberty, who were the 2023 WNBA Finals runners-up, on Thursday, May 23.
"and that's on getting a WIN in a packed area, not just cause of one player on our charter flight. #SKYTOWN," the 6-foot-3 forward posted on X, formerly Twitter, after the game.
Reese delivered a standout performance against the WNBA powerhouse, tallying 13 points, nine rebounds, one assist, and one steal as the Sky improved to 2-1.
Angel Reese's post may also be a clap back to Charles Barkley
Reese's post could also be a response to TNT analyst Charles Barkley after a statement he made during the broadcast of Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves last Wednesday, May 22.
The 61-year-old said that WNBA players should thank Clark for the money and attention she brings to the league.
"You women out there, y'all are petty, man... Y'all should be thanking that girl for getting y'all a*s private charters [and] all the money and visibility she's bringing to the WNBA. Don't be petty like dudes!," the Hall of Famer said.
