Timberwolves vs. Mavericks Notable Injuries
After battling with nagging knee and ankle injuries, Luka Doncic is listed as Probable for Game 1.
Remember that Doncic has been listed on the injury report several times throughout the postseason but has not missed a game yet.
Luka Doncic averaged 24.7 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 8.7 assists per game during the Mavericks vs. Thunder series. Luka shot 44.7% from the field and over 39% from beyond the arc in this stretch.
The Mavericks managed to emerge from the series alive despite a hobbled Doncic, behind Kyrie Irving's wizardry along with stars like P.J. Washington and Daniel Gafford stepping up for the Mavs.
Other notable names for the Mavericks who are out due to injury include Maxi Kleber (shoulder) and Olivier-Maxence Prosper (ankle).
Celtics vs. Pacers Notable Injuries
Over in the Eastern Conference Finals, ahead of Game 2, the Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis could return as early as Game 4 versus the Indiana Pacers, per ESPN Adrian Wojnarowski.
Porzingis suffered a calf injury in Game 4 during their first-round matchup against the Miami Heat and has missed their second-round matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Kristaps Porzingis during the regular season was solid for the Celtics in averaging 20.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
The Celtics are still heavily favored to topple the underdog Pacers. However, one must wonder as to if Boston will continue to show signs of struggle against the Pacers without their Latvian big man.
