The Los Angeles Dodgers saw their stadium get filled to the brim hours before the start of their game the Cincinnati Reds.
This is because they designated the day as Shohei Ohtani Day and fans flocked to the venue early to get their hands on Shohei Ohtani bobblehead giveaways.
There were 40,000 Ohtani bobbleheads given away by the Dodgers for at least 57,000 people who came to the game.
Not everyone walked away with one but they can still get their hands to the Shotime figure through online.
The Shohei Ohtani bobbleheads quickly made their way to Ebay and other online selling platforms and they are now quite costly.
According to the Associated Press, the toy figure is being sold from $150 dollars to $2,300.
The price might seem exaggerated but the interest on anything related to Ohtani is warranted.
He was last year's American League MVP and has been breaking records here and there ever since arriving in the MLB.
The Dodgers are celebrating the two-way superstar who joined them at the start of the season to the tune of a $700 million, 10-year contract, the largest in sports history.
More Shohei Ohtani bobbleheads this season?
Fans still have a chance to get a bobble as his club already designated May 17 as Shohei Ohtani Day.
It is now an annual event as long as Ohtani is with the team.
Those who want more Ohtani-related freebies do not need to wait for another year because according to the Dodgers, there will be three more events dedicated for their star designated hitter.
"Since becoming a member of the Dodger family in December, Shohei has been everything we've hoped for and more," team president and CEO Stan Kasten said.
"We are grateful for his accomplishments on the field, his warmth in the clubhouse and his character in all respects, and we congratulate him on this well-deserved honor."
The three schedule events still don't have a date but the team announced that they will hand out a hat, a bobblehead, and a shirt.
