Formula 2 driver Oliver Bearman, currently racing for Prema Racing and a reserve driver for Ferrari and Haas, is expected to secure a full-time Formula 1 seat for the 2025 season.

The 19-year-old driver made his one-off Formula 1 debut at the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in March 2024, substituting for Carlos Sainz Jr. at Ferrari, who was sidelined due to appendicitis. Bearman impressed in Jeddah, qualifying 11th and finishing seventh in the race.

Bearman is now anticipated to join the Haas F1 Team full-time for the 2025 season, filling the vacant seat left by the departing Nico Hulkenberg, who is set to move to Sauber next season.

Haas has shown promise in the 2024 season thus far and is currently holding seventh place in the constructors' title race with seven points, a significant improvement from finishing dead last in 2023.

Meanwhile, the second seat at Haas, currently occupied by Kevin Magnussen, is also drawing interest. Zhou Guanyu, Esteban Ocon, and Valtteri Bottas are potential candidates for the seat in the 2025 season.

Kevin Magnussen not keen to mentor Oliver Bearman at Haas

Magnussen, whose seat at Haas is not yet guaranteed for the 2025 season, is not enthusiastic about being a mentor for Bearman if they become teammates next season.

"I'm not really here to take care of young kids, you know? I do that at home," the 31-year-old said.

The Danish driver is currently placed 16th out of 21 in the Drivers' standings, earning his lone point by finishing 10th in the 2024 Australian Grand Prix.
