The highly publicized feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, the two biggest rappers in the world, has taken over headlines, and tennis star Naomi Osaka certainly wasn't spared from it.

The four-time Grand Slam champion answered some questions from the media, including one about the Drake-Kendrick Lamar beef, during the Internazionali BNL d'Italia, also known as the Italian Open, on Wednesday, May 8.

"You know, I'm a pacifist. I'm a neutral party,. However, Kendrick dropped some heat that last song. That last song is amazing, and I played it walking onto the court. So currently I think Kendrick's doing a good job," the 26-year-old stated.

The Japanese player is often seen rocking her Beats headphones at matches, and she wore them over her head during the press conference.

"Me being a Kendrick fan, I haven't gotten this many Kendrick songs in a very long time! If he wants to keep dropping...," she playfully suggested.

Naomi Osaka's first Italian Open in three years

Osaka is returning to the Italian Open for the first time since 2021, having missed much of the 2023 season due to her pregnancy and subsequent birth of her first child, a baby girl, in July 2023.

The two-time Australian Open winner won in two sets, 7-6, 6-1, against French player Clara Burel in the tournament's round of 128 on Wednesday.

She is scheduled to compete against Ukrainian player Marta Kostyuk in the round of 64 on Thursday, May 9.
