Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley is under scrutiny for his post-game behavior following their season-ending loss, 120-98, to the Indiana Pacers in Game 6 of their first-round playoff series on Thursday, May 2, at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
After the game, several reporters attempted to get a few words from Beverley in the locker room.
Veteran ESPN reporter Malinda Adams was one of those who pointed their microphones toward the 32-year-old, but Beverley asked her first if she subscribed to his "Pat Bev Podcast."
Upon learning that Adams was not a subscriber, Beverley declined to respond to any of her questions.
The 2017 NBA Hustle Award recipient even went as far as moving her microphone away from his mouth as he engaged with other reporters who claimed to be subscribers to his podcast.
CBS Sports reporter Jack Maloney revealed that Beverley has displayed similar behavior towards local Milwaukee reporters since joining the team via a trade in February 2024.
Patrick Beverley gets ire of several sports reporters
The pesky defender's behavior has drawn criticism from several well-known sports media personalities, even those beyond ESPN.
Veteran producer Malinda Adams happens to be one of the most respected and professional people we have at ESPN. Bev, you’re going to have to make a couple apologies for stuff tonight. https://t.co/KdQ0VuGoyg

So, that looks like it’s Malinda Adams, who I worked with at ESPN. A total professional, and one of the kindest people you meet at that company.
Ironically, your boring ass podcast could use a producer of her quality. Don’t ask her to subscribe, beg her to help you. https://t.co/h72pFptrtX— Nick Tuths (@NickTuths) May 3, 2024
First the disrespect to Michele Roberts in the NBA Bubble in front of other NBA players and now this… He is who he is. Respect to stellar veteran producer Malinda Adams for her professionalism through that silliness. https://t.co/MLkHm2wfTQ

This type of unprofessionalism should not be tolerated by the Bucks, the NBA or any sports league. Patrick Beverly should be ashamed of himself. https://t.co/LBVteWDOGP
