Red Bull driver Max Verstappen maintains confidence in his team's personnel despite the departure of the team's Chief Technical Officer, Adrian Newey.

The 65-year-old designer is regarded as one of the greatest engineers in Formula 1 history, having played a role in all of Red Bull's championship-winning cars in team history.

However, Verstappen maintains faith in the entire technical team to sustain their success.

"Of course, Adrian was incredibly important for the success that Red Bull had but over time his role has changed a bit... A lot of good people came into the team, that has strengthened that whole department," the three-time world champion said during the pre-race interviews before the Miami Grand Prix.

Verstappen has also suggested that the departure of the British designer is not as significant of a setback as it may appear.

"So, from the outside, it looks very dramatic, but if you actually know what is happening inside the team, it's not as dramatic as it seems," the Dutchman added.

Lewis Hamilton shows great interest in working with Adrian Newey

On the other hand, Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, who is set to move to Scuderia Ferrari in 2025, stated that if he were to create a list of people he would love to work with, Newey would be at the top.

"I think he would be an amazing addition [for Ferrari]... It would be a privilege to work with him," the seven-time world champion said.

Ferrari is one of the rumored teams aiming to sign Newey, alongside Mercedes and Aston Martin.
