The stars came out and congratulated South Carolina Gamecocks coach Dawn Staley after her team bested Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes, 87-75.
LeBron James was among the quick ones to send a message to the three-time NCAA champion.
"Protect Dawn Staley AT ALL COST!! No if, ands or buts!," the Los Angeles Lakers superstar wrote on X.
James was probably tuned in the whole game as he tweeted about Finals game heroes Tessa Johnson and Caitlin Clark.
"If you don't rock with Caitlin Clark game you're just a FLAT OUT HATER!!!!! Stay far away from them people!! PLEASE," he wrote.
Other celebrities also congratulate Staley on the win.
NFL's Russell Wilson and Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade hailed the win by Staley and Gamecocks.
US Vice President Kamala Harris said she can't wait to welcome the current NCAA champs to the White House, while former President Barack Obama hailed the team for its discipline and talent.
LeBron's support for women's basketball
James has been very vocal about his support for women's basketball.
Just recently, he praised current female NCAA stars for how they lift up the sport.
"You look at Angel Reese, you look at JuJu (Watkins), you look at Caitlin Clark, you look at Paige (Bueckers), you look at the young girl that's in Iowa State, the freshman there (Audi Crooks), you look at (Cameron) Brink, I believe her last name is, at Stanford," he told reporters when asked about the surging popularity of women's basketball.
"And that's just to name a few - the freshman that's at Notre Dame (Hannah Hidalgo)."
