Aaron Rodgers put in another brilliant performance to lead the Green Bay Packers over St. Louis Rams 30-20 in Sunday's game. The Packers displayed a better defensive game and mixed it with some calculated aggression.

The Packers' defense tightened its grip on the Rams with Rodgers throwing for 342 yards, to hand the Rams their first loss at home this year.

Two touchdown passes were caught by Randall Cobb while Jordy Nelson impressed with as many as eight receptions for 122 yards for Green Bay (4-3). Rookie Casey Hayward, who replaced the injured Sam Shields, intercepted his fourth pass in three games.

"Winning is fun," Nelson said. "That's why we play games. It's great to win back-to-back games, it sounds great to say that for the first time this year, but we've got to stack success."

Rodgers achieved a couple of milestones in Sunday's game with 150 career TD passes and 42 interceptions. He broke Dan Marino's record for fewest interceptions, who had 69 interceptions for his 150th TD pass.

Rodgers was also impressive in last week's game when the Packers beat the Texans 42-24 in Houston leading the offense effectively in that game.

A visibly elated Rogers said: "This is one of the shorter trips for some of our fans, which is still a jaunt. I think it's probably eight hours if you're busting the speed limit a little bit.

"The chants are incredible and the boos that we had on one of those calls from our fans was incredible. It was louder than the cheers for the Rams."

With just 3 minutes remaining into play, Rodgers made a brilliant throw to Cobb for a great 39-yard pass which put Green Bay up by two scores.

Cortland Finnegan, the Rams cornerback said: "I think their plan was to dink and dunk and catch us off guard. They made the plays when they needed to."

The Packers' defense was significantly weakened without key players like Shields, Nick Perry, BJ Raji and D.J. Smith who are injured.St. Louis will travel to London next week to play the Patriots. They will leave for London on Monday. They were so far undefeated at the Edward Jones Dome. They had defeated the Redskins, Seahawks and Cardinals at home limiting them to just 14.7 points per game.
