Philadelphia 76ers center Mo Bamba publicly criticized Milwaukee Bucks point guard Patrick Beverley for including him in his "whitest black" players list.
Beverley made the remark on the latest episode of his podcast, the Pat Bev Pod, a move that displeased Bamba.
"I'm a top 5 black-white guy because I can properly articulate how I feel & how I see things? You a smart man, do your research. I'm not a gangsta to any capacity but I'm born & raised from Harlem. I made it off the block & out the trenches," the 25-year-old said on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

Bamba followed up with another post, expressing that Beverley asking his white co-host to publicly question the Sixers big man's blackness is one of the reasons why it's challenging to advance the black culture forward.
Mo Bamba and Patrick Beverley were teammates this season
Despite their recent disagreement, Mo Bamba and Patrick Beverley were teammates with the Philadelphia 76ers earlier in the 2023-24 NBA season.
However, Beverley was eventually traded to the Bucks before the trade deadline in exchange for Cameron Payne and a 2027 second-round draft pick.
In addition to Bamba, Beverley included Cavs big man Jarrett Allen, Pacers center Myles Turner, Hornets forward Grant Williams, and Pelicans guard CJ McCollum in his "whitest black players" list.
