Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton openly discussed seeking guidance from a Pacers sports psychologist to ease his mind.

The 24-year-old mentioned that sports betting has significantly infiltrated his social media, which has prompted him to address its impact on his mindset.

"To half the world, I'm just helping them make money on DraftKings or whatever. I'm a prop. You know what I mean? That's what my social media mostly consists of," the two-time NBA All-Star told reporter James Boyd of The Athletic.

Haliburton also emphasized the positive impact of speaking to a psychologist, stating that it's beneficial for basketball players to engage in conversations with individuals who value and understand them as human beings beyond what they offer on the court.

The Pacers playmaker is one of the league's emerging stars, boasting impressive averages of 20.4 points, 11.3 assists, and 3.9 rebounds in 56 games this regular season.

NBA to integrate sports betting in League Pass app

On the other hand, the NBA is introducing live betting features to its NBA League Pass app.

This enhancement allows viewers to access real-time betting lines directly on their screens, select their desired bets, and seamlessly transition to platforms like FanDuel or DraftKings to place their wagers.

The move has received mixed reactions from fans, with some expressing concerns that the feature may be too aggressive in promoting gambling.
