Toronto Raptors guard Gradey Dick revealed the genuine motive behind the viral jersey swap and the photo he shared with Orlando Magic guard Anthony Black last Sunday, March 17, at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida.

The two rookie playmakers exchanged jerseys and posed for a photo after the game, leading to humorous reactions from NBA fans due to the combination of their last names on the jerseys, which read "Black Dick."

Dick talked about the matter during an interview with reporters on Tuesday, March 19, after team practice.

"That's been my guy for a long time. Guys jersey swap with their boys, and that's my friend.. If I played against them and they're my guy, I'll jersey swap with them. Nothing more to it," the 20-year-old clarified to reporter William Lou of Sportsnet.

Dick and Black appeared to have orchestrated the jersey swap, as they were observed giggling together before the photo was taken.

Orlando Magic pulls back viral photo

The Orlando Magic's social media team initially posted the photo of the two on various platforms but later deleted it upon realizing its NSFW display.

The Magic won 111-96 during their contest, handing the struggling Raptors their seventh consecutive loss.

Dick scored 11 points on 4-of-11 shooting and contributed one assist in nearly 27 minutes of play, while Black only saw limited action during garbage time, managing just two points and one steal in less than three minutes.
