Unfortunately, Aston Martin have carried over their same flaws from last year as the 2024 F1 season sees them take another step in the wrong direction. Aston Martin at times last season looked to be the second fastest team on the grid, but now have seemed to have fallen down the pecking order to about the fifth fastest team; now behind McLaren and Mercedes.

Despite the fall in car performance, Fernando Alonso in his later years still shows his worth as a driver, holding 12 of the 13 championship points scored by the Aston Martin F1 team. We could expect there to still remain this talent gap between drivers in Aston Martin, as it looks neither Stroll or Alonso will be moving on from the F1 team.

Same Story for Aston Martin

Lance Stroll had a rather well opening race in Bahrain, after resurging from last place to 10th. Now most recently in Saudi Arabia, Scroll didn't find points but instead a safety car during the race, as he lost control of his AMR24 and crashed into the wall; causing a safety car early in lap 5 of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

At least this incident from Lance Stroll provided some excitement as we saw some different pit strategies take place. The winning result remained the same as Red Bull took a 1-2, but we did get to enjoy the Haas DRS train strategy unfold as a by-product of Kevin Magnussen's penalties and Nico Hulkenberg's tire management.
