Star running back Derrick Henry is signing a two-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens, per ESPN Adam Schefter.
Schefter confirmed that Henry is signing a two-year deal worth up to $20 million, with $9 million guaranteed in the first year.
Henry is coming off a solid season with the Tennessee Titans where he finished with 1,167 rushing yards, 12 touchdowns, and saw him become a pro-bowler for the fourth time.
Despite his stellar 2023 season, the Titans missed the playoffs for the second time in a row.
Even after departing from the Titans, Henry will go down as one of the best running backs in franchise history; highlighting one of Tennessee's prolific runs that saw the team go to the AFC Championship game in 2020.
Now Derrick Henry will join an excellent Baltimore Ravens team, which built its name by rushing the ball.
The Ravens, who finished the 2023 season 13-4 and were bounced in the AFC Championship game against the inevitable Super Bowl champs Kansas City Chiefs, were one of the best-rushing teams in the league, leading the NFL with 2,661 rushing yards last season.
Despite how great they were at running the ball, they were a rushing unit by committee, as several got banged up throughout the season; including JK Dobbins, who missed most of the season due to an Achilles tear in week one of the NFL season against the Texans. As well as Keaton Mitchell who suffered a full ACL tear in his left knee vs. the Jaguars in Week 15.
Despite being 30 years of age, Derrick Henry has proven he can still play at a high level. In joining the Ravens, Henry will add pure power to their backfield.
