Unfortunately, it looks that Williams will be sitting at the back of the F1 pack this year once again, but there is some progress to be found. It wasn't the greatest showing of hope this last race but could be a good sign as the team feels the Bahrain race isn't the best representative to the team's pace in 2024.

Driver Alex Albon as usual launched his FW46 well beyond its placement with him qualifying at P13 in Bahrain. His teammate, Logan Sargeant, couldn't replicate Albon's lap time but was at least ahead of the Alpines at P18.

Their qualifying didn't translate well to race day. Albon lost two positions and fell to P15 in Bahrain, while Sargeant went off track due to a steering wheel issue, finishing dead last P20. Both drivers had issues with the car in qualifying and on race day, hopefully there could be a less malfunction riddled race for Williams in Saudi Arabia; giving the team and fans a better representation as to where they stand on the grid.
