New York Knicks small forward OG Anunoby is set to return very soon.
OG Anunoby last played in January and has been out since due to an elbow injury that required cleanup surgery. He was cleared for contact and resumed scrimmaging with the Knicks yesterday.
Knicks head coach Tom Thibeadou noted that he is making progress and is working on being cleared to play fully.
"Yeah, he's doing some 5-on-5 work. He's doing well overall," Tom Thibodeau revealed after practice. "It's day to day, we'll see where he is. He's making good progress, but he's got to be cleared first to fully play [in games]."
Fred Katz of The Athletic reported that Anunoby will be listed as day to day as it is still unclear when he will make a definite return to the team.
Anunoby could most likely be seen in Sunday's game against the Sixers if he opts to not play against the Magic tonight.

The Knicks have been a much improved team with Anunoby on the court. After trading for the defensive specialist from the Toronto Raptors, the team has won 12 out of 14 games with Anunoby on the roster.
It's no secret that the Knicks have been battered by injury since the start of 2024. Forward Julius Randle has been out with a dislocated shoulder he suffered back in January and Jalen Brunson just avoided a serious knee injury recently.
Randle is still working his way back to return, Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News reported.
All-Star point guard Jalen Brunson suffered a knee contusion against the Cavs, which has him currently as day to day.
