Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has assured that promising rookie big man Trayce Jackson-Davis will be allowed to contribute during the playoffs.

"I know I can trust him. We've got to get Trayce more minutes to get him ready for the playoffs because he needs reps, he needs more time," Kerr said at the post-game interview after their dominant 125-90 win over Eastern Conference contenders Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, March 6.

The 58-year-old coach also mentioned that as they allocate more playing time for the former Indiana Hoosier, they plan to trim down their rotation from 11 players to 9 or 10.

Jackson-Davis was initially drafted by the Washington Wizards with the 57th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft but was quickly traded to the Warriors in exchange for cash considerations on draft night.

At 6 feet 9 inches, the rookie has averaged 6.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in 48 games during the 2023-24 season.

Trayce Jackson-Davis blocks Giannis Antetokounmpo thrice

Jackson-Davis delivered an outstanding performance against the Bucks, scoring 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting. He also contributed six rebounds, one steal, and four blocks.

Notably, three of his rejections were against Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, with two occurring in a single sequence during the middle of the third quarter.

This impressive defensive effort by the 24-year-old translated into a slam dunk of his own on the other end of the court.
