The NBA trade chatter is heating up with the New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies said to be interested in swapping forwards Ryan Anderson and Zach Randolph, according to Bleacher Report.

The website is citing various sources that the Grizzlies and Pelicans are talking about trading their productive forwards, with Randolph headed to New Orleans to complement budding star Anthony Davis and Anderson providing outside shooting for the team built around All-Star center Marc Gasol.

While Randolph is a proven contributor to the team, the Grizzlies are motivated to move him because of his $16.9 million player option for next season that he is expected to exercise.

Upon hearing the news, Randolph appeared to be hurt with the plans of the team to trade him. Randolph has publicly declared his intention to retire in Memphis, and has been one of the more active players in assisting to charitable institutions and projects in the city.

"It bothers me. It hurts a little bit. I can't deny that. But it goes to show you that there ain't no loyalty in this game. It seems like you only get loyalty in certain organizations. You see it in winning organizations like the Spurs, the Lakers, the Heat," he told NBA.com.

"The truth is there ain't no loyalty or love, except in certain organizations where they keep players around, value them. Only a very few organizations seem like they want to keep players around to retire there. Hey, everybody gets traded. It's part of the league, part of the life. I've been traded a bunch of times," he said.
