There are some fresh faces in New York!

After making some impressive trades at the deadline, the New York Knicks still need to find their groove as they implement new faces to a roster coming off one of the best months in franchise history.

During the trade deadline, the Knicks made a move to acquire Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks from the Detroit Pistons. Two players that should help the Knicks later in the season and in the Playoffs.

Losing some key players to injury and a changing roster has been the reason for the Knicks rocky start to February.

The Knicks found the recipe to win in playing their best lineup combination of Jalen Brunson, Dante DiVincenzo, Julius Randle, OG Anunoby and Isaiah Hartenstein.

But without Randle and Anunoby along with new faces being accumulated, the current system has brought the Knicks to fall back to earth for a little bit.

New York Knicks: Bad Break

Some missed whistles was the story for the Knicks in their recent 105-103 loss to the Houston Rockets.

NBA referee Ed Malloy admitted to as much, saying that the foul call was a mistake on his end.

"After seeing it during the postgame review, the offensive player was able to return to a normal playing position on the floor," Malloy said to the pool reporter.

"The contact which occurred after the ball's release, therefore, is incidental and marginal to the shot attempt and should not have been called."

Jalen Brunson was called for a foul by the referee as a three-pointer was launched.

The all-star guard contested Aaron Holiday. Holiday would hit the free throws in a nail-biter of a game to seal the win for the Rockets.

Bogdanovic looked good for the Knicks, dropping 15 points off the bench. Burks also chipped in with five points.

New York Knicks: Randle Recovery Plan

Getting Randle back sooner rather than later should be the number one priority for the Knicks.

Coach Tom Thibodeau said they met with the power forward, who was recovering from a dislocated shoulder and mapped out a plan for the star to return after the all-star break, per the New York.

Randle dislocated his shoulder last month in the Knicks game against the Miami Heat.

The Knicks said last week that Randle will be reevaluated in two to three weeks.
