The Sauber Stake F1 Team, formerly known as Alfa Romeo, released its new 2024 Formula 1 season car design, and this year's design is almost a total revamp from last year's model.

The 2024 C44 car features a stunning neon green livery along with noticeable changes throughout the car design; most notably the side pods and front suspension.

Stake has replaced Alfa Romeo as the title name for the Sauber F1 team for the next two seasons and will use Sauber as an interim before partnering with Audi in 2026.

Last season Alfa Romeo finished second to last in the constructors' standings with only 16 points between its drivers. Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas finished on the better end of points scoring 10 while second year Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu scored only 6 points.

The Swiss Motorsport engineering company will keep both drivers heading into the 2024 season, led by the Italian manager Alessandro Alunni Bravi. After a lackluster season in 2023 that was riddled with retirements, the Stake F1 team looks to start fresh.

Bravi has high hopes for the rebranded team as he states:

"We have a fresh new identity and we are excited about everything we have planned, on and off the track: today, though, it is all about the C44 and its potential. We are confident about this car and our team: we won't speak about specific targets, because it's always difficult to put commit to numbers, but our targets are clear - to improve the performance of our car and our package."

The Stake F1 team have gotten off to a good start in having an aesthetically pleasing car, we hope to see its performance match its new looks in 2024.
