Top-ranked golfer Tiger Woods' half brother has been arrested on charges of "making a false bomb threat" at his Arizona Department of Economic Security office building, according to CBSSports.com.

Earl Dennison Woods Jr., 58, was taken into custody at his place of employment on Thursday after at least 100 people were needlessly forced to evacuate the facility. CBS reports Woods Jr. later admitted to supervisors he placed the fake bomb call, but maintains he only did so as a joke.

According to Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump, officers responded around 8:30 a.m. to taunts from a male caller that he was going to blow the building up. No device was found during a floor-by-floor search of the building.

Woods was later booked into a Maricopa County jail on suspicion of use of an electronic communication device to terrify, intimidate, threaten or harass, which is a misdemeanor.

CBS also reports Earl Woods is the father of Cheynne Woods, a female professional golf player who previously expressed her goals of following in her world-famous uncle's footsteps.

Tiger Woods has won 79 PGA Tour events over his career, including an all-time second in PGA history to Jack Nicklaus 14 majors.
