The NFC Championship game is finally here as our Sunday night game is between the San Francisco 49ers and the Detroit Lions.

When: 6:30 P.M, Sunday, January 28

Where: Levi's Stadium Santa Clara, CA

How to Watch: FOX

This year's matchup would include the top-seeded San Francisco 49ers, who are back in the big game after a 13-4 season and will be taking on Dan Campbell and the underdog Detroit Lions, who have had one of the best seasons in franchise history; going 12-5 and winning a playoff game for the first time since 1991.

The Lions would like to accomplish the difficult task of winning on the road against a 49ers team that is looking to advance to the Super Bowl after last season's collapse in the NFC Championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Both teams haven't met during the regular season, so it should be in for an interesting matchup.

NFL Picks and Predictions 49ers vs. Lions: Who Wins and Why

49ers 37 - Lions 31

The Lions have the talent to keep it close with the 49ers. However, the lights might be too bright for Detroit, who, despite an excellent season, might need more experience and firepower to compete with the 49ers wide variety of offensive weapons.

The Lions' defense might only be able to get a few stops against the offensive juggernaut that is the Niners. And we have seen Detroit struggle at times to contain the Rams and Buccaneers offenses.

Multiple players have stepped up for the 49ers during the regular season, including running back Christian McCaffrey, wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, and tight end George Kittle. Even without Deebo Samuel, who hurt his shoulder in last week's divisional game against the Green Bay Packers, you can expect anyone of the three to make it a long night for the Detroit defense.

Quarterback Brock Purdy is coming off a rocky performance in the rain against the Green Bay Packers. Although they should play a better game this time at home, as the weather is forecasted to be a little more friendly for quarterback play.
