The Indiana Pacers and the Toronto Raptors are finalizing a trade that would send All-Star forward Pascal Siakam to the Pacers, according to the ESPN NBA Insider, Adrian Wojnarowski.
The deal would send forward Bruce Brown Jr. and Jordan Nwora along with two 2024 first-round picks and their 2026 first-round pick to the Raptors in exchange for the dynamic forward.
The New Orleans Pelicans are the third team in the deal, sending Kira Lewis to the Raptors, sources told ESPN.
Several other teams were interested in acquiring Siakam, including the Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, and the Sacramento Kings; but those trade talks fizzled out. The Kings were interested in making a move to get Siakam, however it was reported that the team was unwilling to move second year forward, Keegan Murray.
The Indiana Pacers are currently 23-17 and the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, led by Tyrese Haliburton, who is having an MVP Caliber season. Adding Siakam to their young roster definitely betters the team overall moving forward.
The Raptors, who already made a trade earlier this season, sending OG Anunoby to the New York Knicks for RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickly, as the Raptors look to build around their young forward Scottie Barnes.
