One of the names that has been listed frequently in rumors and speculation regarding returning superstars for WWE WrestleMania 30 on April 6 in New Orleans has been Bill Goldberg, and reports indicate that the WWE is still interested in bringing him in for a return.

According to WrestlingInc.com, the WWE recently had a Vintage Collection show that featured Bill Goldberg and has also released a DVD on the former WCW/WWE Superstar and it all has to do with the WWE still having interest in bringing Goldberg back for a WrestleMania XXX appearance, which would be his first appearance at the event since 10 years ago when he fought Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XX.

It was reported last month that WWE COO Triple H had been in talks with Goldberg regarding a possible return but at the time Goldberg's financial demands for a return to the company were "very significant" and no deal was struck.

Goldberg confirmed the meeting with Triple H last month when he appeared at the C4 Comic Con event in Winnipeg and confirmed that he and Triple H had discussions on a possible return but no deal was made.

The WWE apparently hasn't given up hope as they are still very interested in signing Goldberg for even just a one-time appearance, and Goldberg recently said that he wanted his son to see him wrestle in a big match at least once, so a deal between now and April 6 is not out of the question. According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Goldberg said the ball is in WWE's court in regards to a possible return.

Goldberg said last month that the WWE was "barking up the wrong tree" with their negotiating tactics by telling him, "Think of the pop you'll get," if he had a match at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, which Goldberg shrugged off.

Goldberg's rumored opponent if a deal is struck is Ryback, who had drawn criticisms as a "Goldberg rip-off" and has had audiences jeer him with "Goldberg" chants. Ryback recently appeared on the Felger & Mazz Radio Show and spoke about wanting to face Goldberg at the event.

"I have a great amount of respect for Bill Goldberg, but I'm not going to beat around the bush and say I wanna be best friends with the guy," he said on the radio show, according to CBS. "I'd like to face him in the ring. I've heard him say he's not happy with comments I've made about him, if he has a problem with it let's settle it at WrestleMania."

It's up in the air whether or not Goldberg will return for WrestleMania, to settle the score with Ryback, but the WWE is trying their best to land him.
