The New York Jets will try to keep their playoff hopes alive when they face the Miami Dolphins in Week 15 on Sunday, December 17. Zach Wilson's name appeared on the team injury report, raising questions on whether he will be ready for this pivotal matchup.
Wilson was listed as a full participant in the Jets' latest injury report, and it appears the 24-year-old play-caller will be in action against the Dolphins, NBC Sports reported.
He participated fully when the Jets had practice on Wednesday, December 13. Per the report, Wilson is dealing with a knee injury.
Throughout the 2023-24 season, Wilson has not missed a game due to injury. However, he was benched twice but returned to help the Jets win over the Houston Texans on Sunday, December 10.
Wilson named AFC Offensive Player of the Week
Also, Wilson was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday, thanks to his performance against the Texans. He completed 27 of 31 passes for 301 yards with two touchdowns and no turnovers and had a career-best 117.9 rating against Houston, the New York Post reported.
However, Wilson and the Jets will be in for a challenging game against the AFC-leading Dolphins. As far as the former BYU Cougar is concerned, they need to come out at the same level they did against the Texans to get a chance at victory.
"Now that we set the bar there, we got to be able to show we can do it again. I think that's always the thing: 'Hey, you did it once, now you got to show us you can do it again,'" Wilson said.
The Dolphins are 9-point spread favorites to prevail over the Jets per BetMGM via USA Today. The Moneyline set for this game is -431 for Miami and +332 for New York.
