Tiger Woods has no doubt etched his name in the world of golf. He is regarded as one of the greatest to play the game, which is why he is an inductee into the World Golf Hall of Fame.

His golf resume alone speaks for the heights that Tiger Woods has had through his golfing career, USA Today reported. He is tied for first place in PGA Tour wins and is ranked second in the men's junior championships. These are just some of the accolades that the 47-year-old has across his name.

Although the last couple of years have slowed or prevented him from continuing to play the sport he loves, the competitive fire still burns in Woods despite the obstacles preventing him.

Since the fatal car crash he was in back in February 2021, Woods has suffered one injury after another. The most recent one concerns his ankle, a reason why he underwent fusion surgery last May. He mentioned via his Twitter account that the procedure was meant to address arthritis caused by a previous talus ankle fracture.

Now, the decorated golfer appears to be ready to play again. He is set to play in the Hero World Challenge, possibly the start of several other tournaments such as the 2024 PGA Tour.

But with questions on how long he can hold, Woods plans to play in at least one tournament per month, per Sean Zak of Golf Magazine.

There is no telling if people will see the Tiger Woods of old. If ever, these will become additional memorable moments for Woods, appending a long list that he has under his belt.

Here are some of the five memorable moments in Tiger Woods' career so far:

1. Tiger Woods' first career win at the 1996 Las Vegas Invitational.

The first win of any athlete's career will always stand out. For Woods, the 1996 Las Vegas Invitational win will be a sweet throwback.

Then, a budding star, Woods, formally introduced himself against Davis Love III. After getting a 70 in the first round, he followed that up with 63, 68, 67 and 64. He would improve from there and collar his first career win.

2. Completing the Tiger Slam in 2001.

2001 was a stellar year for Woods, winning one competition after another. He ruled the U.S. Open, British Open, and PGA Championship in 2000 and the Masters in 2001, which led to him winning the 2001 Masters.

Although those competitions were not won in the same year, it is considered a legendary feat for Tiger Woods, per the Bleacher Report.

3. Woods rise to stardom at the 1997 Masters.

Another performance that would be hard to forget is Woods winning the 1997 Masters. It was his first major championship win, not to mention the triumph that started the Tiger Woods era.

It is also memorable since Woods had to recover from a poor start, struggling in the first nine holes. In the end, he pulled off a 12-shot victory, including a four-round score of 270 (-18), per Scoregolf.com.

4. Woods becomes the youngest black player to win Augusta National.

Tiger Woods also became the first black young player to win the Augusta National in 1997. After taking 40 shots on the opening nine, Tiger shot a record 18-under 270 total, claiming his first Major Championship title.

Given the couple of firsts that Woods had at Augusta National, there is no doubt that his 12-shot win ranks among the top of his achievements in his decorated golfing career.

5. Woods overcoming father's passing to win the 2006 British Open.

Tiger Woods was used to having his father around when he competed and won tournaments. However, 2006 was pretty tough for him. This was after his father, Earl Woods, passed away in May of that year, forcing him to skip some tournaments and take some time off, the New York Times reported.

Woods regained his old form in time to win the 2006 British Open despite temporarily stepping away. It was an emotional two-shot win for Woods at the time.
