The Kansas City Chiefs visit the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 12 at the Allegiant Stadium on November 26 in a battle of two teams seeking to get back on track. The Chiefs vs. Raiders matchup is the first time the two NFL teams will square off this season, with kick-off set for 4:25 p.m. EST.

The Chiefs are coming off a 21-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles last Monday, November 20, and a glaring thing to note is that they have failed to score in the second half in their previous three games, USA Today reported. Considering they haven't lost back-to-back games, Las Vegas will be hard-pressed to hold off the defending Super Bowl champions.

On the other side, the Raiders also lost to the Miami Dolphins, 20-13, on Monday. Although they have a home advantage, Raiders interim coach Antonio Pierce will have to get his players to work hard if they are to bounce back from that loss to Miami.

Chiefs vs. Raiders Week 12 Odds

The Chiefs are 8.5-point favorites to prevail over the Raiders, per OddsSharks.com. The Moneyline for this Week 12 showdown is -425 for Kansas City and -115 for Las Vegas.

The Chiefs vs. Raiders rivalry was once branded as the fiercest in the NFL. However, Kansas City has won 15 of their last 17 encounters. The last time the Raiders won over the Chiefs was way back on October 11, 2020, 40-32, per the Associated Press.

Understandably, the Chiefs are installed as huge favorites. And one main reason for that is Patrick Mahomes. No less than Pierce admits that.

"They've dominated the division since Patrick Mahomes has taken over," Las Vegas interim coach Antonio Pierce said. "It's our job to go out there and give us the best fight. But give them their flowers, they're the defending Super Bowl champions."

It is even more daunting for the Raiders because they have several players on the latest injury report. One of them is defensive end Maxx Crosby, who did not participate in practice on Thursday due to a knee issue, per SI.com.

Other players on the Las Vegas side who were limited participants on Tuesday, November 21, include safety Marcus Epps, cornerback Jack Jones, offensive tackle Kolton Miller, safety Tre'von Moehrig and linebacker Robert Spillane.

On the other side, Jerick McKinnon was a limited participant at the Chiefs' practice, while Mecole Hardman did not participate. McKinnon is listed as out for Sunday, the same as Hardman, LB Nick Bolton, and WR Justyn Ross.

Aside from Mahomes, another Chiefs player expected to make up for a costly fumble against the Eagles is Travis Kelce. He is expected to step up against the Raiders and covet that bounce-back win.

On the side of the Raiders, it will be interesting to see if defensive end Crosby will be ready to play. So far this season, he already has 10 ½ sacks across his name. Should he take the field, his obvious assignment is to make life miserable for Mahomes.

"I don't like playing against him because I know what type of player he is and the mindset that he comes in with," Mahomes stated.

Chiefs vs. Raiders Week 12 Pick

All signs point to a Chiefs win over the Raiders in Week 12. Unless Pierce has something special planned, the chances of seeing Las Vegas pull off a reversal seem moot.

Moreover, the fact that Las Vegas has a lot of players in sick bay makes it even harder. Against a team looking to get back on the winning track, that doesn't help.
