Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is considered one of the most exceptional talents in NFL history, and he is the consensus best player in the league right now, topping the latest edition of the annual NFL Top 100.
Despite being relatively young in his career, Mahomes has already established himself as one of the game's all-time greats, leading the Chiefs to two Super Bowl victories since the team drafted him with the tenth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
The 28-year-old was named Super Bowl MVP in both Kansas City's victories in the championship game, which all happened in the past four seasons. Alongside these achievements, Mahomes has earned the NFL Most Valuable Player award twice and set numerous quarterback records.
Beyond his on-field prowess, the former Texas Tech standout enjoys the unwavering support of his close-knit family.
Let's take a look at some of the quarterback's family members.
Patrick Mahomes' Wife: Brittany Mahomes
Mahomes is married to his high school sweetheart, Brittany Lynne Mahomes (formerly Matthews).
Their romantic journey is said to have started during Patrick's tenth-grade year, with Brittany being in the eleventh grade at the time, per Brides.
The first documented photo of Patrick with Brittany on his Instagram dates back to May 2013, featuring a collage capturing moments from their prom date.
Brittany chose to play college soccer at the University of Texas at Tyler, while Patrick played college football at Texas Tech. Despite the distance of 440 miles between their respective schools, they successfully navigated the challenges and maintained their relationship.
After completing college, Brittany obtained a bachelor's degree in kinesiology. Following this academic achievement, she entered professional soccer, joining the Iceland pro team UMF Afturelding.
In her single season with the team, she made five appearances and scored two goals before deciding to retire in 2017.
Brittany has now transitioned into the role of a personal fitness trainer, offering exercise programs through her online service, Brittany Lynne Fitness.
Patrick proposed to Brittany in 2020, marking the special occasion in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium on the day he received his Super Bowl LIV championship ring. The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Hawaii in March 2022.
The couple has two children together. Their daughter, Sterling Skye, was born on February 20, 2021, and their son, Patrick "Bronze" Lavon Mahomes III, joined the family on November 28, 2022.
Patrick Mahomes' Family
Mahomes was born to Pat Mahomes, a former Major League Baseball pitcher, and Randi Martin, who is an event planner. The couple went through a divorce in 2006.
His father, who goes by Pat to avoid confusion, had a major league career from 1992 to 2003. He played for various teams, including the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, and Pittsburgh Pirates.
In addition, Pat also had a stint in Nippon Professional Baseball, pitching for the Yokohama BayStars during the 1997 and 1998 seasons.
Mahomes has a younger brother named Jackson, who is nearly five years his junior. Jackson has been involved in several controversies, including an arrest related to alleged sexual battery.
