The 2023-24 NBA season saw a lot of changes, headlined no less by the blockbuster Damian Lillard trade. Some teams had NBA offseason additions, a reason why some players and clubs are feeling their way in the early goings.

However, there were glimpses of promise from some players. Lillard himself debuted with a bang with the Milwaukee Bucks, one of the many NBA super early returns seen in the first couple of games of the 2023-24 season, NBA.com reported.

But beyond the seven-time All-Star, other names have made their mark with their new ballclub.

Here are some of them:

1. Bruce Brown, Indiana Pacers

Bruce Brown surprised many when he left the Denver Nuggets. Now with the Pacers, the 27-year-old had a great first game for the Pacers after being given an increased role, Reuters reported. He dropped 24 points in that Pacers' win over the Washington Wizards - a glimpse of things to come. It remains to be seen if the one-time NBA champion is the missing link for Indiana to become an NBA playoff contender.

2. Chris Paul, Golden State Warriors

Many questioned Chris Paul's addition to the Warriors. Although he is one of the seniors in the league right now, the 12-time All-Star is showing that he remains one of the top playmakers in the game. Although his numbers have not been eye-catching, his leadership and facilitating appear to be a perfect fit for head coach Steve Kerr and the Dubs. Paul does not need to score heavily since that falls on the shoulders of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. It will be interesting to see if he can get his first NBA title with the Dubs this season.

3. Dillon Brooks, Houston Rockets

Brooks has found a new lease on life with the Houston Rockets. He is playing well thus far, helping Houston and its core of young players. So far, in seven games, the Canadian has been showing improved production. He is norming 14.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.1 steals in 32.3 minutes. However, his energy and defensive prowess are the intangibles contributing to the Rockets' 4-3 success so far this season.

4. Jordan Poole, Washington Wizards

Jordan Poole is getting his chance to shine with the Wizards after playing behind Curry and Thompson with the Warriors. His numbers have dropped compared to his last season with Golden State. He is averaging 17.4 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 7 games, a bit off compared to his performance last season. Poole may eventually figure it out. But for now, his production is far from what most expect as he tries to prove that he can flourish on his own since leaving the Bay Area.

5. Jrue Holiday, Boston Celtics

Holiday is considered one of the best defenders in the NBA today and is doing what is expected of him in Boston. His offensive numbers have taken a hit, although this is unlikely to matter. Holiday has given the Celtics that needed defensive push. Given more time, expect the 33-year-old to mesh in with Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and the rest as the 2023-24 NBA season goes along.
