Metcalf is dealing with a hip injury, a reason why he was forced to miss Seattle's Week 7 win over the Arizona Cardinals last October 22. The Pro Bowl wide receiver played in Week 8 and was part of his team's win over the Cleveland Browns. However, he was visibly bothered by his injury, CBS Sports reported.
For his part, Lockett is dealing with a hamstring injury. However, it won't prevent him from seeing action against the Ravens. The two-time Second-team All-Pro missed practice for three consecutive weeks but has been active on game day, SI.com reported.
Seahawks need to cover the spread
Heading into their Week 9 clash with the Ravens, the availability of Metcalf and Lockett should raise their chances of winning. Seattle is the underdog against the Ravens, per OddsSharks.com.
In the eyes of Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, this is the healthiest the team has been this NFL season.
"This week, so many guys on the practice field and guys fighting for reps, which was great. This was the first time we felt like that in a long time. It would be like if you came off a bye or something like that, you would feel really good. We feel like we got a big boost from the guys that are out there battling. No time like the present," the 72-year-old coach stated.
