The NFL is already in its ninth week of the season, but Odell Beckham of the Baltimore Ravens has yet to show his top form.

Beckham, a two-time Pro Bowl, signed with the Ravens in April this year. Many fans are not losing hope that he can return to his All-Star form.

The 30-year-old wide receiver missed games this season, and he has so far put up 14 catches for 162 yards with zero touchdowns. That is a far cry from his 17-game average of 94 receptions for 1,305 yards and 10 touchdowns when he was still with the New York Giants.

The team is patient with him, though. They also have a new offensive coordinator, and he is still acclimating to the new system.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson is especially optimistic about Beckham.

"He's going to get on the scoreboard," Jackson told the Baltimore Sun.

"I believe it's happening fast. It's going to come."

Beckham is bending to the system

Beckham knows he is not the star he used to be and is submitting himself to the system that offensive coordinator Todd Monken, who was hired before the end of last season.

"I think people tend to forget a new coordinator comes in, a new offense, new players - everything is all new," Beckham said. "It's kind of, like, trial and error early on in the season, and it's been a great trial and error for us. I still think that there's only been a few games where we've really put it all together."

Beckham will have his time to get back to his old self. In the meantime, the Ravens do not need him to rush things as they currently sit at the top of the AFC North.
