The highly-publicized Francis Ngannou-Tyson Fury went down in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the former coming out as the victor. However, the public is not convinced with the result.

The basic view is that the Nigerian MMA champ outmatched his British opponent and even dropped Fury in the third round. That knockout did not matter to the judges as they declared Fury, who is the legit fighter between the two, as the winner in a split decision.

UFC star Israel Adesanya is among those who thought the result should have gone the other way.

However, he believes it is not about the technicalities of the judges' call, suggesting that the boxing match in Saudi was more of a business than a showdown of fighters' skills.

He backed that up by showing footage of his fight as a boxer.

"Boxing as a sport is beautiful. Boxing as a business is corrupt as fuck! For example...March 2015, in this clip I get illegally hit and my opponent doesn't get a point deducted. I rock him and put him on the canvas and it's considered a slip," he wrote as a caption on his X video.

Stylebender is not the only one to cry foul. Ngannou immediately posted his reaction, saying he believes he won that fight.

Other combat sports personalities chimed in on the result of the fight.

"My next fight is gonna be in the world of boxing," UFC contender Darren Till said.

"But f*** me it's one corrupt shambles of a thing. Francis won that fair and square. Either way he won no matter what. Unlucky Fury... Not a bad fight. Goodnight."

Jake Paul, meanwhile, thought Ngannou's performance showed MMA fighters are not easy boxing opponents.
