Almost everybody thought Tottenham Hotspur would enter the new season sluggish after losing Harry Kane to Bayern Munich and hiring a new manager in Ange Postecoglou, a Premier League first-timer.
What's happening is the total opposite. No Harry Kane, no problem.
The Spurs are now at the top of the Premier League table after nine weeks, having won 22 points, thanks to a 2-0 victory against Fulham over the weekend.
Reigning champs Manchester City are in the second spot with 21, while their London rivals are in third with the same number of points.
Team mainstay Son-Heung Min is stepping up big time for the club, having scored seven goals already, while newcomer James Maddison is listed second in assists with five.
The duo were also instrumental in Spurs' 2-0 victory.
Postecoglou proves he belongs on a record-breaking night
This season is Postecoglou's first time in the Premier League, although he has already achieved a lot outside of England.
The job also seems easy for him, as he just recorded the most points earned by a manager in their first nine Premier League matches.
Tottenham fans celebrate the recording-breaking night and Ange, but the latter insisted it only happened because of the entire organization.
"Look, it's credit to everyone," he told reporters.
"It's a really encouraging start to the season for sure. Performance-wise, we've been really consistent."
