Today at 2:45 p.m. ET, FC Copenhagen and Real Madrid go head-to-head live from Parken Stadium in UEFA Champions League Group B action. The game can be live streamed here.
Cristiano Ronaldo is set to return for Real Madrid today as it matches up with Copenhagen at Parken Stadium after missing three games with a hamstring injury. Ronaldo is the 2008 FIFA world player of the year and is a favorite for the 2013 honor.
Xabi Alonso, Ronaldo and Gareth Bale were all sidelined for the team's weekend scoreless draw against Xatvia but all three have traveled with the team. Ronaldo will look to add to his total of eight goals through four league games thus far, with two of them coming at home against Copenhagen.
Carlo Ancelotti's squad has scored 18 goals through five games so far, and with Real Madrid's strong pace, Ronaldo could be used sparingly.
"Cristiano is fine, he is training with the rest of the team and he will play on Tuesday without any problem," Ancelotti said per ESPN.
Sergio Ramos is suspended and Fabio Coentrao, Sami Khedira and Raphael Varane are injured so four members of the team will not be playing.
Copenhagen lost to Juventus in Round 5 and will not be able to advance in the Champions League, but can go through to the Europa League with a win.
"We are still alive and we will hope that we can provide one last, brave effort to go through," coach Stale Solbakken said on www.fck.dk. "I have said that I hope for one Christmas present before December 24 and that is a win or maybe a draw in Parken [against Real]."
Nicolai Jorgensen, Daniel Braaten and Rurik Gislason will be sidelined.
Ronaldo returns for Real Madrid when it takes the field against Copenhagen today.
