The Texas Rangers and Houston Astros will battle out a win in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, with its roof open on Thursday, October 19.
Due to the intense Texas heat during the summer, the Rangers' ballpark hasn't hosted an MLB game with an open roof since May 21. The Rangers played 11 games with the top open throughout the regular season and secured a 7-4 record.
The stadium posted about it on its account on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

"Consistent with the guidelines used during the regular season, Major League Baseball has determined that the Globe Life Field roof will be open for tonight's ALCS Game 4," stadium representatives said.
MLB officials determined this was an appropriate moment to open the roof, given the projected temperature on Thursday.
It is projected to be in the high 70s during the start of the game and gradually drop to the low 70s by the later innings.

Dusty Baker not happy
Houston Astros manager Dusty Baker appeared to express frustration with the league's decision, which seemed to be made at the last minute.
"We were told there was an agreement the roof wouldn't be open at either place. I don't know what changed," the 74-year-old mentor said.
Meanwhile, Rangers manager Bruce Bochy believes the open roof will not impact his team's performance.
