Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young is well aware that comparisons with Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic will be a constant presence in his career after the two were essentially traded for each other during the 2018 NBA Draft.
The Hawks initially picked the Slovenian as the third overall pick, but they traded him to the Mavericks in exchange for Young and a protected future first-round pick in 2019.
However, the 25-year-old remains undisturbed by these comparisons and remains focused on his ultimate goal of bringing an NBA championship to Atlanta.
"I don't let that bother me. Cause if I win it all, all that stuff will be shown and talked about. If I win a championship maybe people will start bringing up some of the things that happened in the past," Young said during an appearance on SiriusXM NBA Radio.
More than five years since the draft day deal, both players have ascended to stardom in the league, playing pivotal roles for their respective teams.

Young talks about relationship with Doncic
The two-time NBA All-Star discussed his relationship with Doncic while guesting on Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green's podcast.
"To be honest with you, I have no hate towards nobody, especially Luka. We talk all the time. We got a lot of love for each other, a lot of respect for each other," the Hawks star admitted.
