The Jacksonville Jaguars won over the Indianapolis Colts, 37-20, in Week 6, Sunday, October 15. But the win came at a huge cost after Trevor Lawrence incurred a worrisome knee issue after the 24-year-old QB was sacked with about three minutes left in the match.
The top pick of the 2021 NFL Draft was listed as questionable to return despite Lawrence being able to walk off the field on his own.
Considering the Jags were already comfortably ahead, Jacksonville relied on C.J. Beathard for the final possession, CBS Sports reported.
Lawrence completed 20 of his 30 passing attempts for 181 yards with two touchdowns and an interception to go with three carries for 15 yards.
How is Trevor Lawrence feeling?
Lawrence being able to get up and walk on his own is good news to Jaguars fans. The former Clemson Tiger said he was feeling okay, although he admits some knee discomfort, per SI.com.
"I'm going to get it checked out tonight and see kind of what's going on. I feel pretty good. I'm walking around all right. Can't really say much now," Lawrence stated.
"Just felt something, you know, just some discomfort in my knee when I went down. I don't know if it was twisted or landed on or what. I kind of felt it right away," he added.
The Jaguars are scheduled to face the New Orleans Saints on Thursday, October 19. It remains to be seen if Trevor Lawrence's injury will keep him from calling the plays in Week 6.
