Lamar Odom has pleaded no contest to a drunk-driving charge and has been sentenced to three years probation, according to the L.A. Times.

The newspaper reports the now out-of-work NBA veteran entered his plea to the misdemeanor charge on Monday and will also be required to undergo three months of alcohol-abuse treatment.

A former Lakers and Clippers star, Odom has recently met with both teams in hopes of reigniting his career. He recently spent several days at his Rhode Island alma mater working out with elite basketball trainer Rob McClanaghan.

The Times reports the Clippers were thought to have the most interest in Odom, but the team recently moved to sign veteran forward Stephen Jackson, who plays the same position as the former NBA Sixth Man of the Year award winner.

The 34-year-old Odom has also recently been rumored to be mending his four-year marriage to reality TV star wife Khloe Kardashian. Several media outlets have recently reported the two are now attending couple's counseling together and have began to spend more time together.

For much of the summer, Odom was dogged by rumors of his hardcore drug use and chronic cheating in his marriage.
