With 24 Grand Slam titles in his name, the most for anyone in pro tennis history, one can easily say that Novak Djokovic ran over anyone who tried to get in his way.

His name alone should strike fear in anyone whose goal is tennis supremacy.

That is not what Carlos Alcaraz feels, though, about the Serbian legend. When asked who he fears the most on the court? Djokovic's name is not even in his top two list.

The young Spanish star said Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev are the players he fears playing against. The two are players of the same age bracket as him.

"[But] both are players that probably, you know, it's scary to face them," Alcaraz said of the duo after bowing out of Shanghai Master's Men's Singles.

"I like that kind of challenge. I'm really wanting that. I want to play my best level to find the final and probably face them."

It is easy for Alcaraz to pick the two young players as they both play in Shanghai.

He recently defeated Novak in the Wimbledon Open finals to capture his second Grand Slam title.

Alcaraz hopes rivalry with Sinner becomes legendary

Between Medvedev and Sinner, Alcaraz has more nice words to say about the latter, hoping they become intense rivals, similar to Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, who are second and third in most Grand Slam titles.

"I feel a difference. Every time I beat him or lose against him is different. I learn something from every match I play against him," he said.

"It would be great if (the rivalry) was like Rafa and Roger. It would be the dream. For ourselves and the tennis fans."
