It's sad to see the former No. 1 player in the world struggle so much, but such is the case of Roger Federer.

USA TODAY Sports' released a report outlining the Swiss tennis star's recent woes ... at taking selfies.

Yes, the secret is out that Federer needs a lesson on proper camera phone usage.

The prototypical example of Federer's deficiency was a tweet by Viviana Sarmiento under a photo Federer took of him and her in Bogota in which Federer managed to capture only the tip of his nose down.

Federer took the photo over the weekend.

"@rogerfederer I love you but you own me an apologize for this bad selfie you took of us in the Bogotá exhibit #AskRF pic.twitter.com/jqJf5e5Bdr," Sarmiento tweeted.

There are a couple of other examples of Federer's ineptitude.

USA TODAY Sports reported that Federer's ability to tweet far exceeds his selfie prowess. He holds #AskRF sessions on Twitter, in which he selects questions submitted by some of the 1.1 million followers he has.

"Among the things we learned: Federer is terrified of roller coasters, his favorite fruit is strawberry, he's happy Kobe Bryant is back on the court and he's changed from a cat man into a dog man," USA TODAY Sports reported.

SI.com reported that Federer spent nearly two hours answering questions for his #AskRF segment over the week. And no subject seems to be out of bounds.

From Lina Mahfoud: "@rogerfederer You'd rather swim in a pool full of chocolate or jelly #askrf "

Federer's answer: "@LinaMahfoud What do you think I'm from Switzerland or #JellyCountry? #AskRF"

In the SI story, Federer's selfie cut off the very top of his head.
