Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers is a monster on the court. However, this is based on the premise of availability.

Davis is setting a goal of making himself available in all 82 games for the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2023-24 season. The promise may sound familiar, and most hope that the eight-time All-Star can hold on to that, Brad Turner of the LA Times reported.

This is because Davis has no control over what his body can take, especially since he is set to turn 31 years old this year. A reason for this is that most of the processes related to growth and development have been completed, according to Invigor Medical.

Most games of Davis with the Lakers

Since joining the Lakers, the most regular season games that Davis has had was during the 2019-20 season, where he saw action for 62 games.

The past NBA seasons had seen the purple and gold playing without the eight-time All-Star center.

The last time Davis played extensively

Since entering the league, Anthony Davis has yet to play 82 regular season games in one NBA season, per Basketball-Reference.

The most number of regular season games that Davis has played was during the 2016 to 2017 and 2017 to 2018 seasons, playing 75 games in each of those seasons.

Beyond his health, Davis knows he has to evolve his game. With a preference to play more of the forward spot, the top pick of the 2012 NBA Draft is working on his outside shooting for added offense this coming NBA season, USA Today reported.

A glimpse of that was spotted at the minicamp arranged by teammate LeBron James, which Jovan Buha of The Athletic confirmed. Davis went on to detail his work during the Lakers' media day.
