The Portland Trail Blazers finally found a way to make a Damian Lillard trade, but the Miami Heat were not part of it. Jimmy Butler had an interesting comment after word broke out about the deal.

The Blazers shipped Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks in a three-team deal involving the Phoenix Suns, per Adrian Wojnarowski.

In return, Portland landed Jrue Holiday, DeAndre Ayton, Toumani Camara, an unprotected 2029 first-round pick from the Bucks, and another unprotected Milwaukee swap rights in 2028 and 2030.

Jimmy Butler reacts to Lillard deal

When word got out about the Damian Lillard trade, Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat reacted and called on the NBA to investigate the Bucks' deal, insinuating that tampering went down.

As for the Suns, Phoenix landed Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Nassir Little, and Keon Johnson in the Damian Lillard trade, NBA.com reported.

Giannia Antetokounmpo wish granted?

The Blazers were not the only team who benefited from the Damian Lillard trade. It may have also resolved the Bucks' big issue, which is to show Giannis Antetokounmpo that they want to win.

Antetokounmpo will get a proven NBA veteran who can boost their title-retention drive by getting Lillard.

It was only last month when the two-time NBA champion made it clear that he wanted to see what direction the Bucks were headed and if they had plans of making another NBA title run, the New York Times reported.

Will Damian Lillard play for the Bucks?

The next question now is if Damian Lillard will stay with the Bucks. The seven-time All-Star made it clear he wanted to be traded only to the Miami Heat and nowhere else.

However, playing alongside Antetokounmpo could tempt him to change his mind since he could be on the cusp of winning an NBA title.

Hence, the Damian Lillard trade saga may not yet be technically over.
