Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner expressed skepticism about his team's ability to replicate the success they've enjoyed this season.

"To repeat a season like this, it's a golden moment for the team, to do better than we are doing is impossible. We are riding a wave and we want to ride that wave as long as we can," the 49-year-old executive said.

Horner's comments came after Red Bull clinched their second straight Formula 1 Constructors' championship and sixth overall at the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka on Sunday, September 24, with six races left in the season.

However, the team principal added that Formula 1 is a fast-moving business, noting how teams can swiftly ascend or decline, and last week's dismal showing in Singapore is a reminder that they must keep pushing the boundaries.

Red Bull has won 15 of the 16 races this season, only losing out during last week's Singapore Grand Prix, where Scuderia Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Jr. won.

Verstappen back to winning ways

After his historic 10-race winning streak ended last week in Singapore, wherein he finished fifth, the Dutchman went back to his winning ways by starting in pole position and securing a victory in Japan.

However, he wasn't able to secure his third Formula One Drivers' title in a row, ending the race with a 177-point gap over second place Sergio Perez in the standings, with 180 points left.

The 25-year-old could clinch the title next race at the Qatar Grand Prix on October 8.
