Aaron Rodgers recently underwent a special kind of surgery, although most are unaware of what advanced medical procedure the New York Jets quarterback underwent.
The 39-year-old NFL player went through Arthrex Achilles Mid Substance Speedbridge, something that may possibly help Aaron Rodgers return to football before the current NFL season ends.
With most unaware of Aaron Rodgers' Speedbridge surgery, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport worked on finding out what this advanced medical technology truly is, complete with graphics animation on NFL Network's "The Insiders" on Thursday, September 21, via USA Today.
Rapoport's presentation was impressive and gave Jets and Aaron Rodgers' fans an idea of whether the 10-time Pro Bowler can successfully return this NFL season, NFL.com reported.
Further, it begs to ask if an Aaron Rodgers NFL return will be advisable to the Jets. Questions surrounding his recovery will be in the air, not to mention his efficiency following a serious surgery.
Odds not in Rodgers' favor
Despite the gruesome injury, Rodgers is not about to call it a season just yet. The odds are stacked against him, and the 39-year-old says he liked it when he spoke on The Pat McAfee Show.
"I definitely have some odds stacked against me based on age, but I like it," Rodgers said. "Stack all the odds up against me and see what happens."
Tom Brady's level of interest in NFL return
The Jets could use a boost in the quarterback situation. This has led some to ask whether seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady would consider coming out of retirement to fill that void.
The future NFL Hall of Famer had a short and swift response to that question on the latest Let's Go podcast episode.
"Next question. You already know. I love being with you guys on Mondays and I love what we got going," Brady responded to the question thrown by host Jim Gray.
