The Golden State Warriors are reportedly working out several NBA veterans; at least three were formerly with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The former Lakers reportedly working out with the Warriors are Kent Bazemore, Juan Toscano-Anderson, and Stanley Johnson, Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype reported.

Ironically, Bazemore and Toscano-Anderson are no strangers to Dub City. Bazemore started his career with Golden State in 2012 and returned in 2020.

Toscano-Anderson, on the other hand, was with the Warriors from 2019 to 2022. Incidentally, 2022 was a good year for the 30-year-old forward, winning his first NBA title with the Warriors, ESPN reported.

Aside from that, he was the 2022 NBA Slam Dunk Contest king.

Hence, both know the system of the Warriors, and initially, it would make sense. However, they may not be the long-term piece the Dubs may need.

Former top pick makes more sense for Dubs

Stanley Johnson, the 8th overall pick of the 2015 NBA Draft, would make more sense. Golden State has been known to allow younger players to evolve, and the former Arizona Wildcat fits this perfectly.

The 27-year-old forward showed promise with the Lakers, although he played more as a support player to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Regardless, he did have his moments before he was traded to the Utah Jazz in the Patrick Beverley deal in August 2022, NBA.com reported.

Johnson normed 6.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists with the Lakers. That production may not be eye-catching.

But with the proper guidance and exposure, Stanley Johnson could follow the footsteps of other young players who rose to prominence after their stint with the Golden State Warriors, Lake Show Life suggested.
