Baltimore Ravens' inspirational leader Ray Lewis was ruled out of for the rest of the season due to an arm injury. This is a serious blow to the Ravens whose defense already struggling this season. The Raven will also miss cornerback Lardarius Webb, whose left knee was injured during Sunday's game.

Lewis was injured on Sunday in the Ravens' game against the Dallas Cowboys, which the Baltimore won 31-29. The linebacker sustained injury to his right tricep.

John Harbaugh, the Ravens coach, said: "Ray in the locker room afterward, we didn't know (the extent of the injury) but he was worried about it. He said some things about his faith. He said some things that I'll never forget."

Lewis who will turn 38 next May might have possibly played his last game of his stellar career. In his career spanning 17 long years, Lewis was named Super Bowl MVP, won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2000 and 2003 and has been selected to thirteen Pro Bowls.

The Ravens will also miss cornerback Lardarius Webb who was injured after colliding with Dez Bryant, the Dallas wide receiver.

"I'm disappointed for those guys," Harbaugh added. "It doesn't matter how I or someone else feels about it. It's their thing.

"These are guys that put so much effort, heart and soul into what they do."

Webb is undergoing surgery again after a torn ACL in the 2009 season.

Harbaugh said about Webb: "Lardarius was distraught. I could see it when I walked onto the field, on his face. He kind of knew because he's been through it before. I just felt like he knew. He was just beside himself."

Meanwhile safety Ed Reed expressed his concerns about losing Webb. "I'm hurting for that guy right now. I know how hard he works to be out here and what he brings to the game. We have to play for him and pick him up because he's young."

Harbaugh added on Lewis: "When you look at his situation and what he's accomplished, and what he was hoping to accomplish this year, he's going to have to accomplish those things in different ways because that's the way it's gone. He puts his faith in providence. That's where he's going to go with that."
