Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are the talk of the town these days, an advantage that may not sit well with other coaches and teams.

This seems to be the case with Colorado State Rams coach Jay Norvell, who has had enough of the Deion Sanders and Colorado Buffaloes hype, ESPN reported.

"I don't care if they hear this in Boulder. I told them [ESPN] -- I took my hat off, and I took my glasses off. I said, 'When I talk to grown-ups, I take my hat and my glasses off. That's what my mother taught me,'" the 60-year-old Rams coach stated.

Norvell appeared to be stirring up some hype, taking a swipe at Sanders' knack of wearing a hat and sunglasses during interviews. It was an uncharacteristic jab from the American football coach.

However, in the eyes of most, the recent potshots of Norvell were to create buzz for his program, which has not been getting one for quite a while.

Upon hearing this, it did not take long for Coach Prime to respond. He issued a Michael Jordan-like warning towards Norvell's remarks and said that the Rams just made their upcoming football game "personal" via NFL reporter Air Meirov.

"It was just gonna be a good game, but they done messed around and made it ... PERSONAL," the 56-year-old coach said.

The Buffaloes are 23.5-point favorites in their Rocky Mountain Showdown with the Rams on Saturday, September 16, at the Folsom Field, with kickoff set for 10:00 p.m. E.T. per CBS Sports.
