Fan favorite Alphatauri driver Daniel Ricciardo will be present at his team's paddock for the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix this weekend, but he will not be seeing action on the track.
The team confirmed that the 34-year-old will be in the Marina Bay Street Circuit solely for engineering purposes.
The Australian will also not be available for any media or PR activities during the weekend in the Southeast Asian country.
Ricciardo notably picked up an injury at the Dutch Grand Prix last month, sustaining a broken metacarpal on his left hand following an incident during the second free practice session.
The AlphaTauri driver crashed into the barriers while avoiding fellow Aussie driver Oscar Piastri of McLaren, who initially hit the barriers moments beforehand.
The eight-time race winner is now undergoing rehab following a successful surgery. He is unlikely to race again before the Qatar Grand Prix in October.

Liam Lawson to continue driving for AlphaTauri
The 21-year-old will continue to be behind the wheel for AlphaTauri in the place of Ricciardo.
The New Zealand driver finished 11th in his second race for the team at the recent Italian Grand Prix at the beginning of the month.
Lawson's P11 place is the highest finish among the drivers - Nyck de Vries and Ricciardo, in the same seat in the team this year.
Meanwhile, teammate Yuki Tsunoda's highest finish this year was P10, which he did thrice.
